Words, briefly

New ideas need a few new words. Here is each one in a sentence or two.

  • Summanitism Concept

A foundational alignment model and new social contract that starts from free individuals but puts relating at the centre — moving from a logic of dominion toward reciprocity, hope and constructive interdependence.

  • Natism (the Root) Pillar

Respect for birth, lineage, place and specific culture. Roots as foundation, not a cage. Read about Natism

  • Nitism (the Reach) Pillar

The principle of continual rebirth, evolution and opening. The courage to bridge and adapt. Read about Nitism

  • Sumani (the Pulse) Pillar

Mutual respect, felt when it happens — lived, everyday. Read about Sumani

  • Hydraulic Society Pillar

  • Sumocracy Pillar

  • Vitality Pillar

  • Covenant of Asymmetry Concept

Whoever has greater capacity (wealth, knowledge or power) carries a greater responsibility to build the bridge of relationship. Part of the Hydraulic Society pillar.

  • Leverage as a “dam” Concept

Extreme financial, digital or social leverage that blocks the civilisational flow and becomes an obstacle to relating.

  • Five essential limits Concept

Limits that protect the relational web in any sufficiently large system — starting with rejecting persistent harm or domination as a normal way of organising life. Listed in full in Essential Foundations.

  • Connect-and-care Concept

Governance built on connection and care: it trusts people to coordinate and keeps bureaucracy lean, instead of command-and-control.

  • Relational capital Concept

Trust and connection treated as real value. Essential Foundations calls trust ‘the bandwidth of the economy’.

  • Coral Reef model Concept

A way of living together across cultures: a shared foundation of mutual respect, with lively zones where cultures mix and meet. It is offered as an alternative to the 'melting pot' and the 'salad bowl'. From Essential Foundations and Images of 2040.

  • Images of 2040 Concept

Imagined scenes of a relational Europe in 2040 — possible futures, not forecasts.

  • Sum Salon (opens in a new tab) Concept

An informal 90-minute get-together of 5–10 people. A troubadour messenger introduces Summanitism, then the table talks.
